It’s so easy to get caught up with everything while being abroad. Hanging out with new friends, missing old friends, uni work, regular work, saving money, spending money, trying everything, going everywhere, et cetera. Whatever it may be there’s always something going on and, on top of that, time is flying by so quickly!
Piece of advice for all of those considering studying abroad: Save up way more than you think. Like, seriously, work away the entire summer before you go because before you know it your savings account will be completely obliterated and you’ll be eating oatmeal for every meal of the day.
Hello everyone! I am currently on exchange in Sydney and have been here for a little over three weeks now. So far I haven’t experienced too much culture shock, however, there are a lot of little differences I’ve noticed. Please enjoy this list of observations that I’ve accumulated during my stay in Australia so far.
I made the hike from Bondi Beach for about three miles all they way to Coogee Beach. Along the way, you pass about six different amazing places to swim and play. Come join!
You will find many amazing places and things to do around Sydney, these are my favorite!
As my final weeks in Australia are approaching, so are finals. I’ve been in the library more than I have all semester and have used my free time to explore Sydney as much as possible. It has been a balancing game. On Friday after my lab, my friend and I hopped on a train for an hour and a ferry to head over to Royal National Park to visit the famous Wedding Cake Rock.
