Hey, everyone! In this blog post, a wanted to give you a look at many of the incredible moments I’ve experienced during my time living in Ghana. These photos should not only give you insight into my experience thus far, but hopefully also debunk some of the myths or stereotypes you may have about Ghana.
For the past six weeks of my life I have been living with a host family in a small town called Horb am Neckar. This kleine Stadt (small city in German) is located about 38 kilometers (or about 24 miles) away from Tübingen, the town where I will be studying during my year abroad.
One thing about study abroad that can be overlooked is the connections you can make with other students. Exchange programs, like mine in Germany, allow you to make quick friends in your new home.

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I arrived in Germany! I can say that studying abroad here has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. A lot has happened since I’ve been here, but instead of talking about it I’d figure to show pictures of the last month of my life. So here it is — enjoy!
As we were swiftly skimming across the murky Yasuni River, I could not help but think to myself how lucky we are. Going to Ecuador and being fully emerged into the most biodiverse location in the world is an opportunity that most people do not get to experience. Here I find myself surrounded by the beauty of refreshingly new adventure and I am ready to fully engulf into it.
Hello everyone! I am currently on exchange in Sydney and have been here for a little over three weeks now. So far I haven’t experienced too much culture shock, however, there are a lot of little differences I’ve noticed. When one first arrives to Europe, the first thing that might be surprising and interesting is the abundance of public transit. European countries have had a long time to implement their transit systems, and the scale of the cities allow for some very efficient and inspiring methods of transit.
What a wild past few days! I have done so much this past week in Germany, and I have so much to tell you about everything I’ve done. But one of the biggest adventures I had this week was just getting to Germany in the first place. That is exactly what I am going to be writing about today.
The new school year is almost upon us! For SDSU Be International, that means it’s time to welcome a new group of study abroad bloggers. We’re delighted to introduce the Aztecs Abroad who will be sharing their international experiences this Fall semester!
When you study abroad, you need to make sure that you also make time to travel in your host country and, hopefully, the surrounding countries as well. Traveling is such a great way to educate yourself. You get to study the culture personally.
