My message, as a double major in Finance and Economics having been involved in SDSU Greek Life, Associated Students and other organizations and activities, is simple: Going abroad is a great educational, social, and cultural experience. The rewards by far outweigh any concerns, if any, you may have with the Study Abroad process.

I’ve heard the saying many times, you’re never too old to go back to school. In 2014, I had the opportunity to return to school after a 30-year absence. After my initial doubt, I now believe the saying to be true.

My name is Tiffany Geer and I am currently a fourth year student at San Diego State University. I played on our Division I womens soccer team for the past four seasons and have decided to celebrate the ending of my collegiate career by studying abroad at Thammasat University (TU) in Bangkok, Thailand this Spring semester!
When discussing time spent abroad, phrases like “life changing” seem to get thrown around a lot. I knew when I boarded my flight that I was about to embark on a transformative journey, but I didn’t realize just how much of an impact my time abroad would have on me.
