Summer is back in San Diego and I am enjoying life like never before. This is sadly my last semester at SDSU, so I am really making the most of my time here and enjoying the lifestyle that comes with living in San Diego. I cannot believe that’s it’s only February and the weather has already been peaking at 80 Degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve never been able to just go to the pool or hang at the beach all day in February before, it’s normally one of the most coldest months back in England. It’s so nice to be able to live such an active lifestyle all year round – I really have found a second home here in San Diego!
Energized By a Visit From Home
As I welcome in my second and, unfortunately, last semester at San Diego State, I can’t help but wonder how it’s February already? I spent an amazing Christmas break here in San Diego with my mum and sister. I was lucky to have them to visit me here in San Diego for three weeks. They got here Christmas evening and were here for the New Years and my 21st birthday!
Time Flies When You’re Having Fun
As the first semester is close to finishing, I can’t help but ask myself where the time has gone. Thank god I’m here for two semesters because there is no way that I would be ready to leave. The past couple of weeks have been very busy and stressful; I’ve been busy filming and finishing projects, studying for finals and recovering from being ill.
Yet I have still been having the time of my life. Continue reading “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun”
International Connections
Something I never thought about before study abroad was just how much my network base would grow. I’ve not just met and connected with American people, but people all over the world.
The Exchange programme at San Diego State is one of the best I have ever seen, I have met friends and potential professional networks from all over the world. It’s an eye-opening experience to feel so connected with the world, something I have never experienced before.
An Experience Like No Other
As my study abroad journey continues, I can’t help but to be more and more thankful for what I am experiencing. Not only am I studying at a phenomenal university, I’m also studying in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
San Diego continues to surprise me more and more everyday, not only with how beautiful it is, but how much I am learning. My experiences here in San Diego are teaching me valuable like skills, and my knowledge continues to grow. Continue reading “An Experience Like No Other”
Bright Lights And Big Ambitions
I’ve been in San Diego for six weeks now and I still constantly pinch myself to see if this is all real. How can this place be so perfect and I’m here for a whole year.
This weekend a few friends and I headed down to Los Angeles, and what a weekend it was. We spent the first night walking down Hollywood Blvd. As I study Television and Film and aim to be a success in the industry, this was a very surreal moment. Continue reading “Bright Lights And Big Ambitions”
Living The American Dream
The moment that I stepped out of San Diego’s airport, breathed in the fresh air, looked around and saw palm trees and stars in the sky, I knew I had made the right decision.
Ever since I was a young girl I would dream about one day living in California. I used to watch films and fantasize about going to an American university. I never once thought that it could happen, and now here I am, studying at San Diego State University, and I could not be more grateful. Continue reading “Living The American Dream”
