San Diego Has Stolen My Heart

Summer is back in San Diego and I am enjoying life like never before. This is sadly my last semester at SDSU, so I am really making the most of my time here and enjoying the lifestyle that comes with living in San Diego. I cannot believe that’s it’s only February and the weather has already been peaking at 80 Degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve never been able to just go to the pool or hang at the beach all day in February before, it’s normally one of the most coldest months back in England. It’s so nice to be able to live such an active lifestyle all year round – I really have found a second home here in San Diego!

At SDSU and San Diego I’ve been connected to all kinds of people from different countries and cultures and it has been such an amazing experience. I have gained knowledge about so many different cultures and have been inspired to travel to so many more different places around the world. I’ve built networks that I know I will use in the future. Most importantly, I’ve met some people who will be friends for life.

No matter what difficult situations occur or hard challenges that you face, you should always be grateful for your life. There are so many worse things that could be happening, so don’t focus on the bad and appreciate the good things that you have.

I feel so thankful to experience study abroad. I and the small group of students that came here from Hertfordshire University are the first people to ever come from our university to study here. This experience has completely opened up my mind. It’s made me grow as a person and I’ve gained knowledge that I never thought I would from this trip.

San Diego is beautiful. From spending the day at the beach and having a bonfire, to barbecues around the pool to exploring the hiking trails everywhere, I couldn’t be in a more perfect area. The next few months will be busy with school and events and I can’t wait to continue this amazing journey further. I’m truly going to cherish every second!

At the moment, I’m producing another film. It’s what I love to do and it’s so much fun. We have a casting this week in Los Angeles and it’s things like this that excite me for the future. I can’t wait to be doing this full-time as my career. In one of my classes we are given the opportunity to film live events like the ballet, music festival and a baseball tournament at Pecto Park. These opportunities really motivate me to succeed and to have a career in something that I actually enjoy will be a dream come true.

San Diego really does offer the perfect life and you couldn’t live in a better place. Who can complain about relaxing by the pool or spending weekends at the beach?
