This semester has definitely been the best semester ever thus far. It’s impossible to show you everything that has gone on these past four months without running the risk of boring you as you scroll past picture number 3,000… so here are 11 photos of some of my best times in Madrid!
A view of Plaza Cibeles, taken back in January during my first week in Madrid.
The best time to go to Templo de Debod is before sunset because you get a great view of the city AND a beautiful sunset.
Casually passing Palacio de Cristal during one of my runs at Parque El Retiro.
Seriously my favorite park ever: Parque el Retiro.
Trying to look alive after running the Madrid Rock’n’Roll race.
The first and sadly only Real Madrid game I have been to.
Atlético de Madrid vs. Bayer Leverkusen at the Vicente Calderón stadium.
Madrid has tons of random statues all over the city so of course my friends and I had to pose with one of them.
Every May Madrid celebrates the “Fiestas de San Isidro” for a whole weekend full of pilgrimages, festivals, and attractions. The Pradera de San Isidro was packed with people, food and rides! This picture was taken right after enjoying some patatas bravas and Paella.
After the festival in the Pradera de San Isidro everyone headed over to Parque el Retiro to see the fireworks show but with my luck my phone died so I couldn’t get any pictures. I met up with some friends right after and we walked to sol but not before being total tourists and getting a group picture in front of Plaza de Cibeles.
Sunday fun-day called for a study break full of rides at Madrid’s theme park as we enjoyed our last days of exchange in Madrid, that is before everyone starts heading home or starts their travels around Europe.
